meet Carol

A Donegal-based artist, Carol lives and works from her studio in Glendowan, just outside of Letterkenny in close proximity to stunning backdrop of Glenveagh National Park.

An honours degree graduate of the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Ireland, she established her studio in 2006.

While best-known for her unique portraits, she is also an illustrator and her drawings have appeared in a number of articles, wildlife books and brochures. Her clients include the OPW, Údarás na Gaeltachta, the IRD and the Department of the Environment and HSE.

Carol published her first children’s book in August 2018 called “Good Morning Glenveagh”

Past exhibitions of her work have taken place in The Corcoux, London, The Solomon Gallery, Dublin, the Glebe Gallery, Donegal and the Gallagher Gallery, Ely Place, Dublin.

Part of the privilege of being an artist is bringing all that atmosphere and personality to your portrait - my delight is seeing the expression on peoples faces when they see their portrait for the first time. I often hear 'It’s much more than I was expecting' and it's usually an emotional experience.
